Pneumatic damper for turbocharged diesel engine of public transport bus, has non-return valve mounted such that pressure between pipe and capacity is balanced instantaneously when pressure in pipe drops after acceleration of engine
The damper has a capacity (3) e.g. molded plastic cylinder or steel cylinder, whose volume ranges from 5 to 10 percentage of engine swept volume. A driving head (4) is regulated such that pressure between an air intake pipe (13) of a turbocharged diesel engine (10) and the capacity is not balanced after a delay ranging between 2 and 7 seconds. A non-return valve (5) is arranged on an inlet of the capacity. The valve is mounted such that pressure between the pipe and the capacity is balanced instantaneously, when pressure in the pipe drops after acceleration of the engine.
