The device has a left counter stop (1) and a right counter stop respectively inserted at bottom of a slide (5) and another slide, where height of the stops is adjustable to a height suitable for blocking a final slat (8) of a roller shutter. The counter stops have vertical parts respectively integrated to inverted trapezoid shaped perpendicular parts, and bases to block ascending of the shutter when a left stop (6) and a right stop of the final slat are simultaneously supported on the bases. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an adjustable counter stop device.
