The vehicle (30) has an electric machine (33) supplied with energy by a storage device (34). A traction chain supervision controller (40) controls the electric machine, the storage device and converter element e.g. inverter (35) and charger (39), of a traction chain (31). A blocking mechanism (42) e.g. gear lever blocking finger and electric hand brake, is activated automatically at a time of recharge phase of the storage device to completely immobilize the vehicle during the recharge phase, and is controlled by a vehicle supervision controller (41). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a blocking mechanism during a recharge phase.
