The chopper has a mounting/dismounting system (7) including a mounting/dismounting tube (75) mounted on a rail (71). The tube is moved in translation between an advanced position, in which the tube is fitted by its first end on an axial end piece (43) of a feed screw (4) when the screw is mounted position in a conduit (2), after withdrawal of a cutting assembly and a centering bearing, and a separated position in which the tube carries the screw outside the conduit. The tube is equipped with a locking rod (76) for locking the end piece in the tube.
