The method involves gradually introducing a gas into an internal volume of a parallelepiped enclosure (1) through an inlet opening (4), where the gas inlet opening and a gas outlet opening (5) of the enclosure traverse a peripheral wall. A part of exhaust gas is let through the outlet opening, where the gas is gradually pushed back by another gas in direction of the outlet opening. The inlet opening is located at the proximity of the bottom (12) of the enclosure. The outlet opening is located at the proximity of a ceiling (11).
