Recycling carbon dioxide comprises performing a reverse water-gas shift reaction in a homogeneous medium at temperature of greater than 1000[deg] C, preferably greater than 1200[deg] C, where the reverse reaction is implemented in an entrained flow reactor. An independent claim is included for an entrained flow reactor comprising a gas rapid cooling device at its outlet, where the device is also for preheating the gas introduced into the reactor.
