The method involves determining thermal energy received by coolant and thermal energy absorbed by the coolant between an initial instant and final instant. The thermal energy received by coolant is added with the thermal energy absorbed by the coolant. The determination is made that the obtained sum is equal to thermal capacity of the coolant multiplied by temperature difference of the coolant between the initial instant and final instant. The temperature of the coolant at the final instant is determined based on temperature of the coolant at the initial instant using the determined relation.
