The table has a support structure (2) integrated to a passenger compartment. A folding flap (3) comprises upper and lower surfaces defined by two rear and front longitudinal edges and by two side edges. The flap is assembled with the support structure by an intermediary of pivot connection bodies (4) that allow manual pivoting operation of the folding flap between a vertical raised position and a horizontal deployed position. The connection bodies comprise torsion absorbing units (11) to slow down the flap during its pivoting operation toward the deployed position. This torsion absorbing units are selected among rotary speed controller or torque damper.
