An optimizer (31) optimizes the digital writing for providing optimized printing of writing on the machine. The optimizer provides a page layout for digital writing, where the page layout is optimized for printing, and the optimizer matches each signal from the stylus with a specific feature in the digital writing. An independent claim is also included for a method for optimizing a digital writing for printing on a machine.
