Providing regulated financial service functionality by redirection from an unregulated computer system

A request for access to financial service functionality is received 20 from a user s device (2, fig.1) at an unregulated computer system or website (1, fig.1). A redirection instruction is transmitted 21 from the unregulated system to the device, in response to which the device transmits a request to a regulated computer system, e.g. a third-party payment provider (4, fig.1). Data, preferably a web page description, is transferred 22 from the unregulated system to the regulated system. The data includes content definition from the unregulated system and markers, preferably markup language tags, for the insertion of content by the regulated system. Preferably the tags describe the appearance of data to be rendered and may describe an interaction process between the user and the regulated system. The data is processed at the regulated system to replace the markers 23 and to add content as indicated by those markers. The inserted content allows access to the financial service functionality, e.g. to a payment process. The processed data is served 24 to the user s device for display. Preferably the financial service functionality is conducted 25 and the user s device is redirected 26 back to the unregulated system.
