PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a companion animal composition and a method for enhancing gastrointestinal health and improving fecal odor of feces by administering the companion animal composition.SOLUTION: There is provided the companion animal composition, contains approximately 0.01-0.15 wt.% of short chain oligofructose which comprises 30-40 wt.% of 1-kestose, 50-60 wt.% of nystose, and 5-15 wt.% of 1F-beta-fructofuranosylnystose.
