METHOD FOR CONVERTING EXISTING WEED GRASS PLOT BY USING CENTIPEDE GRASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently converting an existing weed grass plot constituted of natural turf, Zoysia tenuifolia Willd., bladygrass or the like into a grass plot constituted of centipede grass at a low cost by growing the centipede grass having weak stagnant water resistance.;SOLUTION: The method for converting the existing weed grass plot by using seeds of the centipede grass includes dividing the existing weed grass plot to be converted into the centipede grass plot, into seeding divisions in which the seeds of the centipede grass are seeded, and weed-leaving divisions in which the seeds of the centipede grass are not seeded, so that the area ratio of the seeding divisions to the weed-leaving divisions may be within the range of from 2 to 5:1, making the seeding divisions and the weed-leaving divisions into plowed grounds and unplowed grounds respectively, forming the unplowed ground into ridges having a prescribed width, and seeding the seeds of the centipede grass on the plowed seeding divisions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
