PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the supply of an excessive machining current corresponding to an electrical discharge-less state between a specified wire in an electrical discharge state and a workpiece when the electrical discharge states do not uniformly and simultaneously occur between a plurality of wires and the workpiece.;SOLUTION: A multi-wire electrical discharge machining system for slicing a workpiece into thin pieces at spaces of a plurality of juxtaposed wires allows the plurality of juxtaposed wires to travel in the same direction, and includes a power feed elements which are collectively brought into contact with the plurality of the traveling wires, a machining power supply unit to supply machining power supply to the power feed elements, and an electrical discharge unit to electrically discharge the machining power supply collectively supplied to the plurality of the traveling wires by contact between the plurality of traveling wires with the power feed elements to the workpiece. Resistance from the machining power supply unit to the power feed elements is smaller than resistance from the power feed element to the electrical discharge unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
