PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe diameter measuring instrument capable of accurately measuring the external diameter of a pipeline even though a plurality of pipelines are installed in parallel at narrow intervals, and a pipe diameter inspection method using the pipe diameter measuring instrument.;SOLUTION: A pipe diameter measuring instrument 10 has a first jaw part 28 provided at one end side of a support member 30, a second jaw part 36 provided at the other end side of the support member 30, and a rotary encoder 66 for measuring an interval between the first jaw part 28 and the second jaw part 36. The second jaw part 36 has a curvature part 78 projecting from the other end of the support member 30 in a measuring direction and curved more separately from an axis line of the support member 30 as the curvature part is separated from the other end of the support member 30 in the measuring direction, and a second contact part 76 communicating with the curvature part 78 to be brought into contact with an outer circumferential surface of a pipeline 12 of a measurement object. The first jaw part 28 has a first contact part 69 separated from the second contact part 76 in the measuring direction and to be brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the pipeline 12 of the measurement object.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
