PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign material removal tank for waste paper recycling apparatus with excellent maintenability capable of effectively removing foreign material in a suspension liquid of recycling pulp, and to provide a waste paper recycling apparatus for shredded documents using the same.SOLUTION: A waste paper recycling apparatus comprises: a storage container; a screening device disposed over the storage container; a liquid feeding pipe for feeding a recycling pulp suspension liquid to the screening device; and a liquid discharging pipe for discharging the recycling pulp suspension liquid, from which foreign material has been removed by the screening device, into the storage container. The screening device comprises: a screening container with a flexible bottom surface; a screening plate attached to an inner side between the upper end and the lower end of the screening container for removing foreign material; a vibration frame member which is attached to the outside of the screen container and which includes a projecting part for pressing the flexible bottom surface; and driving means for vibrating the vibration frame member.
