PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for automatically carrying out the following two operations: (1) the identification of a name of an article; and (2) the calculation of a quantity at low cost without man-hours.;SOLUTION: This article inspection device includes: an artical name identification means for performing matching with an amount of characteristics of a baggage image with respect to a photographed image that is a shot-imaged to identify the name of the article in a baggage; and a quantity calculation means for identifying a method of the stowage of baggage on the basis of the identified name of the article to calculate a quantity of the baggage on the basis of the identified method of the stowage of the baggage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
