摘要

This paper reports on the Automated Sorter AC-1 device intended for the electromagnetic inspection of the hardening quality of local sections of small articles and their automated sorting with respect to testing results. This device operates on the basis of the rotor-conveyer scheme of the feeding of articles into the testing and sorting positions and measurement of the third harmonic component of a signal produced by an electromagnetic transducer placed under the inspected section of an article. The functional circuit and kinematic diagram of the device are described; its main performance data and the results of its use for testing the hardness of HFC-hardened heads of adjusting screws, which are made of steel 45 and used in diesel engines manufactured at the Minsk Engine Plant, are presented.
