PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea leaf roaster of high thermal efficiency.;SOLUTION: The tea leaf roaster as a first means includes a cylindrical treatment drum with one side as a tea leaf inlet, and the other side as a tea leaf outlet, respectively, tea leaf-diffusing projections provided on the inner side of the drum and diffusing tea leaves; a driving means for revolving the drum, and a heat source for heating the drum from out side. In this roaster, at least part of the drum is formed of an air-permeable member; and tea leaves in the drum are roasted to be exposed to heat emitted from the heat source.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
