PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that simplifies map data while maintaining consistency among maps and significance for a user.;SOLUTION: A simplified map generation device comprises: input means 3 for receiving an input of map data; and arithmetic processing means 1 for forming simplified map data in which given figures of integration objects contained in the map data are integrated. The arithmetic processing means 1 comprises: aggregate integrated figures generation means 5 for causing figure groups positioned within predetermined distances from one another out of the given figures to be an aggregate of integrated figures; figure importance determination means 6 that determines whether or not each of the given figures of the aggregate of integrated figures can be integrated on the basis of importance of the integration objects represented by the given figures and excludes the given figure determined not to be integrated from the aggregate of integrated figures; and figure integration processing means 7 for integrating the given figures of the aggregate of integrated figures after exclusion by the figure importance determination means 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
