PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the combined wavefront of a sound wave or the frequency characteristics of a sound from a virtual sound image where the actual speaker is not placed, in a speaker array that can be placed around a video display.;SOLUTION: A speaker array drive unit 1 comprises a speaker array 40 internally including a region where a speaker does not exist, and drive signal calculation means 20 for calculating the drive signal of the speaker array. The drive signal calculation means 20 configures a virtual speaker array based on the position of a virtual sound image when forming the virtual sound image in a region where the speaker does not exist, and corrects the drive signal of the speaker array 40 so that a sound wave equal to that obtained at the sound receiving position, when the virtual speaker array is driven, is radiated from the speaker array 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
