PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric capable of simply and efficiently absorbing and reducing a basic malodorous substance, specifically, a basic malodorous substance such as trimethylamine and ammonia which are generated form sweat, raw garbage and the like, and to provide a method for reducing the basic malodorous substance.;SOLUTION: The basic malodorous substance absorbable nonwoven fabric is formed of a fiber that is obtained from a biodegradable aliphatic polyester having a melt viscosity of 300-900 Pa s, which is measured under a condition of a temperature of a melting point (Tm)+50°C and a shear rate of 122 sec-1. The method for reducing the basic malodorous substance comprises bringing the basic malodorous substance absorbable nonwoven fabric into contact with a basic malodorous substance under the existence of water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
