PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration control circuit and an FPGA device and method which ensure highly reliable configuration of an FPGA adapted to configure itself by directly reading out configuration data stored in a memory area.SOLUTION: A FROM 09 stores a plurality of pieces of configuration data having the same content. When a signal control section 14 gives a trigger for configuration to an FPGA 01, the FPGA 01 configures itself by reading out data stored in a specified area of the FROM 09 specified as a data read destination by the FPGA 01. If the configuration fails, the signal control section 14 switches the specified area of the FROM 09 and gives to the FPGA 01 a trigger for the FPGA 01 to configure itself by reading out different data from the switched specified area of the FROM 09.
