PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material having a good film-producing property, a low linear expansion property and organic solvent solubility, to provide an optical film, to use the optical film to provide a product or a member high in the demands of heat resistance and low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, especially to use the optical film to provide a transparent substrate, and to provide an image display device containing these.;SOLUTION: The polyimide resin includes fluorine atom-containing polyamideimide repeating units and specific polyimide repeating units.
