PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve simple and high-quality pattern designing.;SOLUTION: An apparatus for creating data for printed board pattern designing extracts region information from a wired area created by three-dimensional data, and calculates the areas of the regions extracted. The apparatus determines the largest of the calculated areas as the outer form of the wired area, and identifies the regions other than the one having the largest area as wiring-prohibited areas.
