PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress instability of a low magnetic field (1), to ensure excellent drawability of a precursor wire (2), and to reduce the cost of compounding a stabilization material (3), by proposing an innovative cross section structure based on an idea completely opposite from a conventional idea, by utilizing non-reactivity between Cu and Ta (or Ag and Nb, Ta) in high-temperature short-time heat treatment.SOLUTION: An Nb/Al composite filament region consisting of a composite of Nb and Al mixed at a mole ratio of 3:1 is coated with a barrier consisting of Nb or Al, and the outside of the area is coated with a barrier material between filaments consisting of Cu or Ag to produce a single wire. The periphery of an aggregate of multiple single wires is covered with a skin consisting of Nb or Ta.
