TRANSFER OF PRECISE ABSOLUTE TIME FROM SATELLITE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite based time transfer and navigation technique which exert sufficient system performance and can be used in an attenuation or interference environment.SOLUTION: Various techniques are provided for obtaining the precise absolute time using a satellite system. In a method of transferring the precise absolute time from a satellite to a device includes steps of: receiving data having frame structure from a messaging channel; using the data to identify the satellite and a position of the satellite, correcting signal transmission time using the satellite identity and position, and using the data as a time reference to adjust a clock of a receiver to the frame structure; receiving a precise time signal including a periodic repeating code from the satellite, when the clock of the receiver is adjusted to the frame structure; and determining a timing phase of the code and determining the precise absolute time using the timing phase.
