Dispersion containing ultrafine anatase titanium oxide, anatase titanium oxide ultrafine particles, and method of manufacturing the titanium oxide

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anatase-type titanium dioxide hyperfine particle having high purity and uniform crystallinity.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the anatase-type titanium dioxide hyperfine particle comprises: a mixing step of adding carboxylic acid or carboxylate to an aqueous solution of TiCl₄ and/or TiOCl₂ and mixing them; and a hydrolysis step of hydrolyzing the TiCl₄ and/or TiOCl₂ in the obtained mixture to prepare a dispersion containing the anatase-type titanium dioxide hyperfine particle. The concentration of the Ti ion in the aqueous solution is 2.5 mol/L. In the hydrolysis step, the hydrolysis is performed while neutralizing a hydrochloric acid component to be generated by the hydrolysis by using a base to obtain the anatase-type titanium dioxide hyperfine particle having 1-50 nm crystallite diameter, 0.85-1.15 value represented by (the equivalent diameter of a sphere having the same specific surface area as the anatase-type titanium dioxide hyperfine particle has)/(the crystallite diameter) and 1-3 aspect ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
