PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling/heating medium in which an amount of water included in the cooling/heating medium can be made much, heat capacity is high, a cold/heat insulation time is long, a cold/heat insulation effect can be made high, moreover, even if repeating a cooling or heating cycle, water does not separate, and which can lengthen a repeated use time, and to provide a cold/heat insulation material using the same.SOLUTION: A gelatin crosslinked gel includes 2-60 wt.% of a crosslinking gelatin and 40-98 wt.% of water, and the jelly strength is 9-3,000 g. A composite which consists of a raw material mixture including: a granular or ground product of the gelatin crosslinked gel; and a polyurethane raw material is made a cooling/heating medium 2. The cooling/heating medium 2 is held in a container 3 like a bag to compose the cold/heat insulation material 1. The cold/heat insulation material 1 is cooled or heated to store cold or heat to be used for cooling or heating.
