Survey instrument and its inspection manner of magnetic foreign material in powder body material

P To provide an inspection apparatus of magnetic foreign matter in a powder material and its inspection method capable of magnetizing the powder material as a base material, reducing background noise by offsetting its magnetization thereafter and accurately detecting magnetic foreign matter in the powder material. PSOLUTION: The inspection apparatus of magnetic foreign matter in a powder material includes: a magnet 4 for horizontal magnetization and for applying a magnetic field onto the powder material in the state of a powder material; a stirrer 5 arranged downstream of the magnet 4 for horizontal magnetization for stirring the powder material after magnetization; and a SQUID magnetic detection device 8 arranged downstream of the stirrer 5 for detecting magnetic foreign matter in the powder material after stirring. The magnetization of the powder material is lightened by stirring the powder material strongly magnetized by magnetization before inspection and the magnetic foreign matter contained in it and the magnetized state of only the magnetic foreign matter remaining as it is accurately detected to inspect the presence of magnetic foreign matter into the powder material.
