The invention provides a spherical NiP particle having excellent monodispersity of the particle itself and preparing method thereof. The reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle having constituent with Ni as the main body and P (preferably 1-15 wt%). The constituent comprises Cu (preferably0.01-18 wt%), or furthermore comprises Sn (preferably 0.05-10 wt%). The preparing method for the reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle is the method for preparing the reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle having constituent with Ni as the main body and P by mixing the mixed water solution composed of water solution of nickel slat, pH regulator and pH buffer with phosphorous water solution of reductant and reducing and precipitating the mixture and wherein =the water solution of nickel slat is prepared by the alkaline method of selecting materials having Cu (preferable mol ratio of Ni/Cu= 4.0-10000) or furthermore having Sn (preferable mol ratio of Ni/Sn=2.0-2000), and mixing thematerials to make the pH value exceeds 7 when reduction-precipitation begins.
