Coprecipitation of Uranium and Plutonium Oxalates Using Sodium Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate Reduction andnDiethyl Oxalate Hydrolysis Precipitation

摘要

A procedure was developed for preparing a crystalline coprecipitate of uranium and plutonium. From nitric acid media, uranium and plutonium are reduced to U4+ and Pu3+, then coprecipitated as oxalates by hydrolysis of diethyl oxalate.
