Coloring of keratinous fibers comprising applying a mixture (A) of a composition (A1) comprising a coupler such as 6-chloro-2-methyl-5-aminophenol or its salts and an oxidation base such as diamino-N,N-dihydro-pyrazolone (I) or its salts and a tinctorial composition (A2) i.e. of basic, golden based or golden shades, on the keratinous fibers in the presence of an oxidizing agent.
