PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing device for attaching masking tape and a method of attaching masking tape, capable of precisely attaching a masking tape.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing device for attaching the masking tape has an XY-axial table 3 for loading a product P. A tape-running means 4 for allowing a tape material 4t to run from one side to the other side, a pallet 5 with the tape material 4t stuck onto the surface and a straight motion conveyance means 6 for conveying the pallet 5 to a prescribed position together with the tape material 4t are provided on the above side of the XY-axial table 3. Also, a laser cutting line-applying means 7 for irradiating the tape material 4t attached to the surface of the pallet 5 with laser beams to apply cutting lines for punching a tape piece tr of a prescribed size is arranged above the tape running path.
