PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor which reduces stress imposed on the joint between element electrode wire and sheath core wire of thermosensitive element to inhibit breakage or peeling of the joint.;SOLUTION: The temperature sensor 100 is provided with the thermosensitive element 102 having a temperature element (thermistor sintered body) 103 and the element electrode wire 104, sheath member 106 including the sheath core wire 108 joined with the element electrode wire 104 in an outer case, bottomed tubular enclosing member 112 which contains the temperature element 103 and the joint 110 in its internal space, and holding member (cement) 114 filled in the internal space. Also at least, between outer circumference of the temperature element 103 and the holding member 114, air gap 105 is prepared for allowing the temperature element 103 to displace in the direction crossing to axial direction of the enclosing member 112. Thereby position of the temperature element 103 can be displaced by abundance of the air gap 105 to reduce the stress imposed on the joint 110 even if cold cycle repeatedly arises in the temperature sensor 100.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
