PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge/discharge test device and method for secondary batteries capable of performing switchovers between test modes stably and quickly. PSOLUTION: The charge/discharge test device for secondary batteries continuously performs switchovers between a plurality of test modes corresponding to traveling states of a vehicle. When a charge/discharge test is performed in a first test mode, the charge/discharge test device for secondary batteries calculates a traveling state corresponding to the second test mode, so as to be quickly switchable from the first test mode over to the second test mode.
