PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the holding force of a converting and locking device which holds a point at a normal position or a reverse position.;SOLUTION: This mechanism includes a Y-crank 5, a main spring unit 11, auxiliary spring units 12R, 12L, and a cam mechanism. The Y-crank 5 is rotated by receiving the power of an electric point 4, and converts the point to a normal position or a reverse position. The main spring unit 11 is swingably supported on the device body 3a of a converting and locking device 3 at the center axis, and acts a spring force to the Y-crank 5 when tilted to one side beyond the center axis to press the Y-crank toward the converting direction. The auxiliary spring units 12R, 12L press the Y-crank 5 together with the main spring unit 11 at the position just before the point is converted. The cam mechanism increases a conversion holding force by acting the spring forces of the auxiliary spring units 12R, 12L in the converting direction of the Y-crank 5 after the point is converted to the normal or reverse position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
