PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method of gastric cancer which enables accurate detection of gastric cancer, at an early stage.;SOLUTION: The disclosed method is used to detect gastric cancer in a mammal, and includes the steps of: (a) measuring an apolipoprotein CIII₀ concentration in a subject's blood sample obtained from the mammal; and (b) comparing the concentration measured in the step (a) with an apolipoprotein CIII₀ concentration in a normal control blood sample. In the method, the mammal is determined to have gastric cancer, when the apolipoprotein CIII₀ concentration in the subject's blood sample is lower than that of the normal control blood sample.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
