PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the timing of the start of the sliding of steel bars uniform in the longitudinal direction. PSOLUTION: A carrying-in device 1 of a cooling bed is provided with a lifter 11 for lifting a long-size material 2 and a slide inclined part 12 on which the long-size material 2 from the lifter 11 is slid to the cooling bed 6. The slide inclined part 12 is divided into a plurality of zones 36 in the longitudinal direction and provided with an ascending and descending means 22 for individually ascending and descending the slide inclined part 12 of each zone 36 and an adjusting means 33 for adjusting means 33 for adjusting the height of the slide inclined part 12 to the lifter 11.
