PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject an appropriate article container by appropriately authenticating a customer without storing biological information in a machine. PSOLUTION: An article deposit/delivery machine receives biological information of a customer and an IC cash card 500 with customer information that is information specifying a customer owning the IC cash card 500 from a card insertion port 150, and delivers a cassette 200 specified by the customer information stored in the card 500 received through the insertion port 150 from among a plurality of cassettes 200 with medium specifying information each stored therein when the card 500 determines that the biological information stored in the card 500 received from the insertion port 150 coincides with the biological information input from the customer.
