PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-chromium-titanium oxide having a ramsdellite type crystal structure which is useful as an active material of both positive electrode and negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: The lithium-chromium-titanium oxide having the ramsdellite type crystal structure is expressed as a general formula of Li2-x/3 Crx Ti3-2x/3 O7 (0x=1.5).
