PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide utterly novel techniques for diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of cancers (especially small cell lung cancer) and/or for inhibition of invasion or metastasis of cancers. PSOLUTION: The invention provides a method of controlling invasion or metastasis of cancers, which is a method including (A) a step of controlling a molecular pathway of TSLC1 (tumor-suppressor gene in human non-small-cell lung cancer). The invention further provides a method of screening a regulator for metastasis and/or invasion of cancers, the method comprising (A) a step of providing candidate substances; (B) a step of providing the candidate substances to an assay system for the molecular pathway of TSLC1; and (C) a step of identifying a regulator for the molecular pathway of TSLC1 among the candidate substances, and determining the regulator as a regulator for invasion and/or metastasis of cancers.
