PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a center pillar outer panel by the hot press forming while suppressing or eliminating generation of any wrinkle without increasing the cost and the man-hour required for the trimming after the forming. PSOLUTION: A blank having a cut-off portion which is restrained by a die and a blank holder to be used in the drawing, and removed by the trimming entirely in a part thereof, and having no cut-off portion to be removed by the trimming on at least a part of a remaining portion, is heated at the predetermined temperature, and charged in a die to be subjected to the hot press for forming a formed product, and the formed product is subjected to the trimming to remove the cut-off portion, and a center pillar outer panel is manufactured. The hot press forming consists of the drawing to be executed to a part of the blank, and the bending to be executed to the remaining portion except the part subjected to the drawing.
