PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble powder preparation enabling thiamine dilauryl sulfate to be dissolved in water in high concentration. PSOLUTION: The powder preparation comprises the thiamine dilauryl sulfate, and at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt, a hydroxide of an alkali metal, a basic amino acid and a polymer thereof, and can be dissolved in the water when the powder preparation is added to the water at 25C so that the concentration of the thiamine dilauryl sulfate may be 0.1 mass%. The method for improving the solubility of the thiamine dilauryl sulfate in the water involves a step for allowing the thiamine dilauryl sulfate to coexist with at least one selected from the group consisting of the alkali metal salt, the hydroxide of the alkali metal, and the basic amino acid and the polymer thereof in the water.
