PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a method for controlling an olefin oxide production reaction to inhibit the decrease of selectivity and hold the selectivity as much as possible, without installing a new water-removing column and considering that water comes in an oxidation reaction vessel as a premise condition.;SOLUTION: This method for continuously producing the olefin oxide, having the oxidation reaction vessel for bringing a raw material gas containing the olefin, oxygen and a halogen compound in contact with a prescribed catalyst to synthesize the olefin oxide is characterized by decreasing (or increasing) the amount of the halogen compound contained in the gas at the entrance of the oxidation reaction vessel by 0.4 to 4.8% to the amount of the halogen compound in the gas at the entrance of the oxidation reaction vessel before increasing the water (or before decreasing the water), based on 0.1 vol.% increasing amount (or decreasing amount) of water contained in the gas at the entrance of the oxidation reaction vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
