PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Mn-based twin crystal type damping alloy capable of producing high damping characteristics and suppressing deterioration with time by controlling diffusion of precipitates into twin interfaces and grain boundaries.;SOLUTION: This Mn-based twin crystal type damping alloy has a composition consisting of, by atom, 15 to 25% Cu, 2 to 8% Ni, 1 to 3% Fe, 0.01 to 0.5% Ti and the balance Mn with inevitable impurities.
