PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly chemical-diffusing apparatus and an chemical-diffusing method, efficiently generating a large air amount of stream having little restriction of an opening passing through airflow and enabling design having arbitrary shape, e.g. miniaturization.;SOLUTION: The chemical diffusing apparatus 100 is equipped with a chemical-retaining body 14 in which a chemical is impregnated and a ventilation means 13. The ventilation means 13 is constituted of a flat fan 12 in which a plurality of flat plates 22 are attached to a rotation shaft 17 so as to be nearly parallel to the axial direction of the rotation shaft 17 of a motor 11 and the ventilation means 13 generates air flow to the chemical-retaining body 14 by carrying out rotation driving of the motor 11 and diffuses the chemical impregnated into the chemical-retaining body 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
