PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay circuit continuity determining method and device for determining good continuity or not of a relay circuit including the normality of a motor current detecting means each time a relay contact is closed, and for finishing the determination when the cause of poor continuity by opening/closing the relay contact is removed, to reduce the probability of determining the poor continuity.;SOLUTION: The relay circuit continuity determining device uses a current sensor 3 for measuring a current value for the circuit which is formed by closing the relay contact 5a or 6a to determine the continuity of the circuit in accordance with the measured current value. A CPU 13 opens/closes the relay contact 5a or 6a in stepwise shortened cycles until determining good continuity to make an opening/closing duty ratio stepwise approximate to 0.5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
