PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of automatically detecting the kinds of a plurality of kinds of audio apparatuses to be connected to a single jack interface, and performing changeover into connection to an audio circuit or into an audio operation, which are suitable for the connected audio apparatus.;SOLUTION: The mobile terminal includes at least: an R→V converting circuit 20 for converting the impedances of respective channels, i.e., LEFT, RIGHT and MIDDLE in the audio apparatus connected to the jack interface 10 into voltage values; and an A/D converter 30 for outputting results after comparing the respective voltage values with a predetermined voltage threshold. The kind of the connected audio apparatus is discriminated by the combination of comparison results between the respective voltage values of the respective channels LEFT, RIGHT and MIDDLE and the voltage threshold. A connection state with an audio CODEC 50 and the input/output level of an audio signal are changed-over based on the discrimination result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
