In this area, there are methods for detecting simple peptides. However, methods for determining the effective plasma concentration of controlled sequence polymers (DSPs) are difficult because DSPs are complex mixtures of peptides, as opposed to single peptides with a specific amino acid sequence. This application provides improved methods for detecting and evaluating DSP compositions, methods for detecting and quantifying DSP compositions, means for determining and increasing the content of a subset of peptides in a DSP composition based on interactions of the subset with specific capture polypeptides, methods for administering DSP compositions to an individual in need thereof, where the dosage regimen and quantity can be determined or evaluated based on the above detection and quantification methods.
