The invention relates to a method for recovering memory lost as a result of pathology, adverse effects or time. The method includes the introduction of an effective amount of (azaheterocyclyl) alkyl derivatives of amides of (het) arylglycines of the general formula I in which n and m can be 0, 1, 2 and 3; the sign (#) hereinafter indicates the possibility of a chiral center; R is an optionally substituted C-Caryl or 5-7 membered hetaryl containing 1-3 heteroatoms selected from nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, optionally fused to a benzene ring; A1 and A2 independently represent an optionally substituted 3-7 membered saturated, partially saturated or aromatic azaheterocycle containing from 1 to 3 nitrogen atoms in the ring and optionally fused to a benzene ring; or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts or alkyl esters in the form of individual optical isomers or mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to compounds of the general formula I, a pharmaceutical composition and a medicament based thereon. The effective dose, as a rule, is 0.005-1.5 mg / kg body weight, preferably 0.005-1.0 mg / kg body weight, at least once a day for the period necessary to achieve a therapeutic effect.
